183 Construction Updates 4.27.12

Please note: A partial closure of the Central Drive exit is scheduled to begin the weekend of Saturday, May 5th. This exit will not be accessible from westbound SH 183; traffic will be redirected to the previous exit at Murphy Drive. Access to Central Drive from southbound SH 121 will not be affected.

Additional signage will be in place prior to the Murphy Drive exit alerting motorists to exit Murphy Drive in order to access Central Drive. (Note: this closure is subject to change due to weather or construction-related conditions.)

In an effort to improve mobility and minimize the impact to traffic trying to access Central Drive, Bluebonnet Contractors will expand westbound SH 183 by adding a designated exit-only lane for Murphy Drive; they will also increase capacity on Murphy Drive. To accomplish this, the westbound SH 183 frontage road will have a dual right-hand turn lane at the SH 121/183 split, and an additional lane will be added to northbound Murphy Drive at the southbound SH 121 intersection.

This partial closure is expected to be in place until mid summer. At that time, the westbound SH 183 Central Drive exit will close fully while the new exit is constructed, but the new westbound SH 121/183 exit to Bedford Road will be open.

Please also note: a temporary on-ramp to eastbound SH 183 from Central Dr. is scheduled to open this Sunday, April 29th.

BEDFORD & EULESS
FRONTAGE ROAD: Alternating lanes of the eastbound and westbound SH 183 frontage road at the Westpark Way intersections will be closed.
Dates: Tuesday, April 17 to Wednesday, April 18
Times: 9:00 pm to 5:00 am

BEDFORD & EULESS
CITY STREET: Alternating lanes of northbound and southbound Westpark Way at the eastbound and westbound SH 183 frontage roads will be closed.
Dates: Tuesday, April 17 to Wednesday, April 18
Times: 9:00 pm to 5:00 am

BEDFORD & EULESS
CITY STREET: The right lane of northbound Murphy Dr. from the eastbound SH 183 frontage road to the southbound SH 121 frontage road will be closed.
Dates: Tuesday, April 17 to Friday, April 20
Times: 9:00 pm to 5:00 am (nightly)

BEDFORD & EULESS
FRONTAGE ROAD: Alternating lanes of the eastbound and westbound SH 183 frontage roads from Westpark Way to Industrial Blvd. will be closed.
Dates: Friday, April 20 to Sunday, April 22
Times: 9:00 pm to 10:00 am (nightly)

EULESS
FRONTAGE ROAD: The right lane of the westbound SH 183 frontage road at Westpark Way will be closed.
Dates: Tuesday, April 17 to Friday, April 20
Times: 9:00 pm to 5:00 am (nightly)

Texas Motor Speedway – Samsung Mobile 500 Race Weekend April 13th and 14th

It’s race week at Texas Motor Speedway for the Samsung Mobile 500 Race Weekend featuring two days of NASCAR racing.  This weekend April 13th and 14th features the O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 and the Samsung Mobile 500. At Grubbs Infiniti we are always excited about race week at TMS despite the increase in traffic in the area.

Texas Motor Speedway is one of the largest tracks in the country and has a capacity of almost 200,000 fans.

Construction Updates 4/2/2012

Monday, April 2 
HALTOM CITY - Alternating lanes of northbound and southbound Haltom Rd. at the intersection of IH 820 will be closed. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction. This closure will be at all times until Thursday, April 5 at 12 p.m.NORTH RICHLAND HILLS - The off-ramp from westbound SH 121/ 183 to Pipeline Rd. will be closed. Traffic will be redirected to Grapevine Hwy 26from 9 p.m until 5 a.m. Tuesday, April 3 (weather permitting).HURST - There will be short term, periodic closures of eastbound and westbound SH 121/183 between Norwood Dr. and Hurstview Dr. nightlyfrom 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Thursday, April 5.

BEDFORD - All lanes of northbound and southbound SH 121 at Murphy Dr. will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Tuesday, April 3 (weather permitting).

Wednesday, April 4
BEDFORD & EULESS - The on-ramp to eastbound SH 183 at Westpark Way and the on-ramp to westbound SH 183 at Industrial will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Thursday, April 5.
