Trinity Habitat for Humanity

When you help build a home, you help build up your community! George Grubbs III and Grubbs Infiniti recently donated a truck to help our friends at Trinity Habitat for Humanity and want to encourage you to check out the amazing work they’re doing in Tarrant county.

Valet Plus

When General Manager George Grubbs III learned that Grubbs Infiniti would be facing heavy road construction directly in front of their dealership for the North Tarrant Express, he knew he had to come up with an idea that would be a game changer. He remembered the old adage, “When Life Gives You Lemons, Make Lemonade”. He decided, “When Life Gives You Lemons, DELIVER Lemonade!”.

Grubbs Infiniti rolled out an innovative idea: Valet Plus. Now, Grubbs Infiniti brings the test drive to their customers. Grubbs Infiniti will deliver any of their new Infiniti vehicles right to your home or office. Plus, Grubbs Infiniti will also pick up their customer’s vehicles for service and then bring it back to them.

“It’s a whole new level of customer service. My entire team is on board for this. Valet Plus is something that no other dealership in the metroplex offers. We knew we had to do something to truly earn our customer’s continued business and Valet Plus is exactly what we needed to do. Most of our customers have very limited time on their hands. We wanted to make it easier for them to experience these amazing vehicles when and where it’s most convenient for them” said George Grubbs.

In Memoriam: George Grubbs, Sr.

George Grubbs, Sr. was born in 1929 in the same year that the Dow Jones plunged 68 points and Wall Street fell to it’s knees.  I can only imagine what it was like for my grandfather and his family trying to make ends meet during the Great Depression.  But I can tell you this: he knew how to work.  He and my Grandmother, Jeanne, managed a used car lot in Roswell, New Mexico and under their leadership, it grew and thrived.  They knew that a good vehicle meant more than just transportation for a family.  It could mean their survival in a tough job market.

When he moved his family back to Texas, he had become a successful entrepreneur and would continue to build up the Grubbs’ family name with many fine dealerships and awards.  Grandfather always encouraged his family to be passionate about life and to enjoy their work.  It’s no wonder that we all followed him into the automotive industry.  He spent the later years of his life spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, teaching us lessons about honesty, integrity and of course, hard work.

When he passed away Monday, April 2nd, I took a deep breath and thought about his legacy and what he would want me to do with my life.  Our economy has seen better days.  Families still struggle and we have a long road to recovery.  I hope to be as resilient and resourceful as my Grandfather in the face of adversity.  Like him, I want to be accessible to every single customer and treat them like friends.  I want to be humble and kind and generous… like my Grandfather.  He leaves such an amazing legacy behind and I feel honored to carry his name.

George Richard Grubbs was born in Plano, TX on November 23, 1929 and went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2012 in Dallas, TX at the age of 82.

JX Preview Night Recap

Like any proud parent, I’m convinced that my children are the brightest, the best-looking and most wonderful kids in the world.  I have a pretty similar outlook when it comes to Infiniti’s amazing lineup of luxury vehicles.  I think they’re some of the sharpest, most well designed cars on the road today.  So when I got my first look at the new 2013 Infiniti JX, I felt like a proud father as I studied it’s sophisticated interior, the impressive styling and all the gadgets that would make any tech lover’s head spin.  I started thinking about how many people you could fit inside and how much storage it offered.  This is the kind of  vehicle that makes you sit up and pay attention.  Your neighbors will want to come watch a movie on the rear-seat DVD system or chill with the three zone climate control.  And, trust me, you’ll be right there, smiling, showing it to the world.  Well, it looks like I won’t be the only person dying to show off Infiniti’s newest offspring.  When we gave our customers a preview on Tuesday night, the reviews were great.

Rob and Lori Bosso said, “The JX offers all the room we want.  The value of it for the size is outstanding.  To get a seven passenger, you would normally spend a lot more.”

Gus dropped by from Colleyville and said, “They’ve done an excellent job with the design and engineering.  It’s really impressive and a departure on regular SUV lines.  It’s going to be very successful in the luxury car market.  I’m a tall guy and I need more room than most people and the JX accommodates me.”

Barry from Ft Worth put it simply and said, “It’s a good looking car, just like the rest of the Infiniti line.”

Barry, I couldn’t agree more.   I can’t wait for everyone to meet the new kid in early April.
