Video Introduction of Infiniti LE Concept

The Infiniti LE Concept Electric car was introduced today at the New York Auto Show and provided one of the highlights of this year’s auto show.

The new Infiniti LE Concept car features several revolutionary innovations including a new Intelligent Park Assist system that works in conjunction with Nissan’s Around View camera monitoring system and is able to automatically center the car over the wireless charging system. This means owners can simply drive home and let the car park itself. There’s no hassle of fetching a cable with Infiniti’s electric car.

The interior of the LE Concept is typical of an Infiniti vehicle, coming with a double-wave design highlighted by LEDs flowing in two waves from front to back. The center console has a big, iPad-like LCD screen for controlling the vehicle’s infotainment system, while a sculpted shift knob is used to controls the drive system.

“I was thorn between getting a MB-GLK, Acura MDX, a Honda Pilot, and an FX35. I did my research and some test driving,and the FX35 came tops. I was almost discouraged by a consumer review on the FX that mentioned something about the transmission of the 7 speed models not having power when you need it and some noise that sounds like a car hits you from behind.In fairness to this review,sometimes in “within city” stop and go traffic,you get some slight lags before a thrust, but I do not consider this a problem. As an owner of other Japanese imports, I know this is a common occurrence.I have had my 2011 FX for a month and the only sound I hear when driving is the beautiful sound of the FX engine which is dulled by the very quiet cabin.
More so,the FX comes standard with a lot of options which are extras on other vehicles in it’s class.The NAV system in the FX, updates itself in comparison with some that needs occasional updating. The blind spots are not as bad as described and the interior is surprisingly roomier than you would envisage. The dash is a beauty to behold at night.
As for the way the FX drives, that I cannot explain with words.You need to test drive one to experience it. And it’s got the wow factor to it’s design.” By JT

Three Competitions. Three Themes.
INFINITI offers the opportunity to winners of the competition to showcase their creation in the INFINITI showrooms. The INFINITI DIGITAL ART COMPETITION will take place over the course of this year.  Three entry periods: each focus on one element of the INFINITI brand. The first theme for this first competition is:

First Competition. First Theme: INSPIRED PERFORMANCE.

  • INFINITI cars offer a uniquely exhilarating and invigorating performance.  Our cars are thought and made for drivers to enjoying and to overcome their limits.
  • INFINITI’s power has a unique swell feel. it starts soft and delicately, delivering an increasing quantity of power, to give the acceleration ‘G-endlessly increasing’ feel.
  • INFINITI’s technology is a discreet presence that provides all the support a driver may need while letting him concentrate exclusively on its driving performance. so to be uniquely inspired.

And so is true for our design.

Shiro nakamura, INFINITI’s senior vice president of design, always stay true to his idea that the most beautiful and performing design can be achieved through simplicity. ‘everything starts with a single line’, is his firm belief. And you? where do you draw inspiration to perform and create something unique?

the concept of the competition.
INSPIRED PERFORMANCE  is what will have to be represented. what does it mean? How your unique artistic vision can bring it alive?

INSPIRED PERFORMANCE will have to come alive through your ideas and your techniques, it should engage people and be advanced yet intuitive. something that can be the most exhilarating and coherent pairing with our cars.

Projection on INFINITI’s building, interior digital creation that will interact with guests, 3D mapping experiments. something innovative, something unique. something inspiring and exhilaratingly. a creation that can fiercely add a layer of inspiration to our unique cars.

We understand it is not easy. but great tasks provide great successes. and if you succeed to be the one, your creation will have a unique exposure to a world of people ready to take your challenge be showcased during the coming showroom opening events all over europe.

The deadlines.
INSPIRED PERFORMANCE  (april 19th – july 8th),
the second competition will take place from july 9th – october 9th,
and the third competition will take place from october 9th –january 9th.

2012 Infiniti M Hybrid – Dallas Tx, Due Out In Spring 2011

Infiniti announces its first high performance hybrid in bold style. In a new ad campaign that challenges the conventional notion of what a hybrid can be, Infiniti takes viewers on a journey through the history of hybrids, starting over 100 years ago with the invention of the first hybrid car in 1888, to the hybrid patent in 1909, through the hybrids of the ‘70s and on to hybrids today – directly challenging the notion that you can’t have great performance and great fuel economy.

With a fully integrated campaign, Infiniti is boldly challenging consumer perception that hybrids are boring. To drive this point home, Henry Rollins, former frontman for the band Black Flag, is the voice of the campaign.

The 2012 Infiniti M hybrid is set to launch nationwide in spring 2011. The groundbreaking new vehicle features the all-new Infiniti Direct Response Hybrid™ system – a one-motor, two-clutch parallel hybrid system. The Infiniti M Hybrid is the only car in America that delivers 360 horsepower and 32 miles-per-gallon.

“The new Infiniti M Hybrid provides the same level of luxury and performance as the rest of our lineup and builds on the strengths Infiniti has always been known for,” said Infiniti Vice President Ben Poore. “Style, luxury and performance will always be the cornerstone of everything Infiniti does.”

The spots begin airing on March 17th during NCAA® March Madness®. Infiniti is a corporate partner of the NCAA, and specifically of NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball. This is the second year Infiniti will have a large brand presence in the tournament.

Infiniti will have over 100 spots across all four networks, including the Men’s Final Four®. In addition, Infiniti will also have custom vignettes and digital and social elements all surrounding March Madness.
